Jessica Thomason,
Associate
During her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, Jessica worked as a legal assistant in a Bay Area law office specialized in estate planning. While in law school, Jessica’s interest in real estate prompted her academic concentration in real property matters, particularly land use law and real estate transactions.
Upon graduating, Jessica joined the WTJ team and has worked with both the litigation and transactional departments over the past several years. While Jessica has experience working on a variety of matters, she focuses on business and commercial litigation and continues to enjoy handling cases relating to real estate.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with family, working on interior design projects, and indoor cycling.
Experience
Jessica has experience with a vast array of legal matters, predominantly working in civil litigation with a focus on professional malpractice defense, construction litigation, commercial litigation, and public entity representation.
Professional Associations
Jessica is an active and involved member of the legal community. She is a member of the State Bar of California, Fresno County Bar Association, Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, and the San Joaquin Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL). Jessica is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association (FCYLA), serving as Secretary in 2023 and 2024. She has served on the Board of Directors and as an Officer of the San Joaquin Chapter of the ABTL since 2023. Jessica was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Fresno County Bar Association.
Community Involvement
In 2023–2024, Jessica was a member of the planning committee of the Shaver Lake Volunteer Firefighter Fund. The committee was integral in planning a well-attended fundraiser to benefit the Shaver Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
